Neox Glaze Ultra is a professional ceramic coating formulated to provide long-term protection across a wide range of automotive surfaces. Its polysilazane technology forms a 3D matrix that bonds to the treated surface, sealing microscopic irregularities and creating a hard, smooth and easy-to-clean protective layer.
The coating enhances the visual appearance of treated surfaces by increasing gloss, color depth, smoothness and hydrophobicity. It also provides resistance against environmental influences including oxidation, salt, acids, insect residue and rust.
A particularly useful feature for professional installers is its UV-active formulation. During application, a blacklight can be used to check coating coverage and identify remaining residue, helping the installer inspect the surface before the coating cures.
For professional detailing studios and coating installers, NEOX® Glaze Ultra is suited to applications where both surface appearance and durable protection are important, including high-gloss paint, matte finishes, PPF, wraps and selected exterior plastic, rubber and GRP components.
Neox Glaze Ultra can be used on a broad range of suitable automotive surfaces, including:
- Modern gloss and matte clear-coated finishes
- Paint systems without clear coat, such as classic-car finishes
- Solvent-resistant PPF and full vehicle wraps
- Painted or clear-coated powder-coated surfaces
- Painted or powder-coated wheels
- Aluminum components
- GRP surfaces
- Exterior plastic and rubber components
Important: Matte paint and matte films should only be coated when they are in excellent optical condition. Because these surfaces cannot be polished or deeply clayed in the same way as gloss finishes, existing imperfections may become more noticeable after coating.
The coating is designed around three important aspects of professional ceramic coating work: surface enhancement, protection and controlled application.
Once cured, the coating creates a hard protective layer with strong water and dirt repellency. The hydrophobic surface can make routine maintenance easier, while the coating's pH resistance of 2–13 provides a broad tolerance against acidic and alkaline cleaning products when used appropriately.
For installers, the UV-active formulation is equally valuable. Rather than relying only on visual inspection, a blacklight can help reveal coating residue and coverage during the application process.
Proper preparation is essential for achieving the intended result.
For high-gloss paint, remove bonded contamination with an appropriate clay bar or pre-pad and lubricant. Depending on the paint condition, polishing may be required to remove defects and achieve the desired finish before coating.
After polishing, thoroughly degrease the surface with NEOX® Prep or POLYTOP® Wipe-Down Spray. Work panel by panel, allowing the product to dwell for approximately 30–60 seconds before wiping with a premium microfiber cloth. The paint should be free from polishing residue, scratches and holograms under suitable inspection lighting.
For matte paint, films, plastics and rubber, thorough washing and decontamination are required before degreasing. These surfaces should be completely clean and free from existing contamination before coating.
- Wrap a Neox Rags application cloth smoothly around the Neox Applicator.
- For the first application, distribute approximately 20–30 drops onto the application area of the cloth.
- For subsequent applications, use approximately 10–15 drops.
- Apply the coating in a crosshatch pattern, using slight overlaps to ensure complete coverage.
- Work larger panels in sections, with no more than approximately half of the hood treated at one time.
- After approximately 4–10 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity, remove the coating with two high-quality short-pile microfiber cloths.
- Use the first cloth for the main removal and the second for controlled touch-ups.
- Inspect the surface with a blacklight to identify any remaining coating residue.
The application cloth should be replaced after approximately three body panels or immediately if it becomes visibly contaminated.

Do not apply directly in sunlight or onto hot surfaces.
The vehicle should remain indoors and protected from rain, weather and sunlight during the first 24 hours. Avoid washing or exposing the coating to strong mechanical friction for 10–14 days, as the coating continues to cure during this period.
After the first 24 hours, Neox® Booster or Velox Seal can be applied as an additional protective layer. This can enhance the wet-look gloss, smoothness and hydrophobic behavior of the coated surface.
For routine maintenance, hand washing is recommended. Suitable alkaline pre-cleaners can be used for initial cleaning, while an acidic shampoo can assist with deeper cleaning and mineral deposits. If limescale buildup reduces the hydrophobic effect, Mineral-Ex can be used as a mineral-deposit remover and ceramic-coating reactivator according to its instructions.
Bird droppings and insect residue should be removed gently and as soon as possible rather than being left on the coated surface for extended periods.
For increased mileage and gloss, two coats of NEOX® Glaze Ultra can be applied. Allow approximately 30–45 minutes between coats.
Partially cured product can be softened during the first 10–15 minutes by applying fresh material. If necessary, localized coating removal is also possible within the first 12–24 hours using NEOX® Prep or POLYTOP® Wipe-Down Spray, followed by recoating.
Keep the product in its original sealed packaging at room temperature for up to 12 months. After opening, use within 12 weeks.
Protect from direct sunlight and frost. Recommended storage temperature is +4°C to +25°C.
NEOX® Glaze Ultra can also be applied using a suitable painting process for components such as rims, brake calipers and individual parts.
